This year the event will be held at the Cultural Centre of Brentonico from June 6th to 26th 2011. But the plateau will be the venue for another prestigious initiative: August 6th to 31st it will also host an exhibition against the backdrop of eighteenth-century Palazzo Eccheli Baisi promoted by the Italian Felt Academy as well. The exhibition - which will affect other locations in Italy over 2011 - is the first stage of a path dedicated to responsible fashion and specifically to "felt" material.  The event, sponsored by the Culture and Tourism Department of Brentonico in collaboration with the Civic Museum of Rovereto, wants to show the handmade products created by the designers participating in the MasterClass held annually in Brentonico. "An environmentally sustainable fashion is possible and with the determination of those who believe that it is still possible to 'save' the planet, " says creator and curator of the exhibition Agostina Zwilling, felt artist and designer, animator for many years of training courses within the Trentino Region. The exhibition opens a window on a reality dedicated to the development of a new concept of fashion based on the principles of sustainability connecting with each other training, creativity, ethical production, marketing and consumer awareness through the presentation of sustainable products ranging from raw materials to the end-product (garments), added Agostina. The products made each year on the plateau of Brentonico, of which the exhibition "PELLE" is intended to provide a selected rate, were enhanced by designers who use the training and artistic space of the Italian Felt Academy and were selected by Agostina Zwilling as witnesses of a passion which is now an authentic philosophy of life.
